Kamishibai stories
Kamishibai is a form of Japanese street theater and storytelling. It was performed by the "kamishibai narrator" who travelled to street corners with sets of illustrated boards that they placed in a miniature stage-like device and narrated the story by changing each image. Biblioteca Mao made her own kamishibai stories: The Dancing Feet and The Journey to Samaná. The stories are based on the Dominican culture and nature. They were written and illustrated by a group of young people with diffeent cultural backgrounds. This kamishibai project was co-funded by the European Solidarity Corps and Jint.
Cuentos de kamishibai
Kamishibai es una forma de narración y teatro callejero japonés. Fue interpretada por el "narrador kamishibai" que viajaba por las esquinas de las calles con juegos de tableros ilustrados que colocaban en un dispositivo en miniatura parecido a un escenario y narraban la historia cambiando cada imagen. Biblioteca Mao hizo sus propios cuentos: Los Pies Bailando y El Viaje para Samaná. Las historias se basan en la cultura y la naturaleza dominicana. Fueron escritos e ilustrados por un grupo de jóvenes de diferentes orígenes culturales. Este proyecto kamishibai fue cofinanciado por el European Solidarity Corps y Jint.
